We are the South Florida chapter of a national association with international reach, whose certified members are recognized as being uniquely qualified and educated in the fight against fraud. As of the end of 2008 there were approximately 50,000 worldwide members of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Fraud strikes organizations large and small, private and public, in a variety of ways. Fraud types are numerous and include mortgage, financial statements, insurance, identify theft, supply chain operations, accounting, human resources, computer software & hardware, and the list goes on.
Local chapters such as this one offer members both networking and educational opportunities. Chapter meetings help members grow their business, learn from other members, and gain continuing education credits towards the ACFE annual education requirement.
The South Florida chapter holds dinner meetings the 2nd week of each month, except during July when the national conference is held. Our members enjoy opportunities to network and hear from a wide variety of selected speakers who present on different fraud-related topics.
Local chapters also offer scholarships to students pursuing careers in the fight against fraud.
Monthly meetings are open to both ACFE members and non-members.
